Mother Yuka has lived with her son Yugo since her husband passed away. Working hard on her own, Yugo grew up healthy and became a student aiming for a first-class university. From now on, the hard work will be rewarded, and if Yugo becomes a member of society, a happy life awaits him... that was supposed to be the case. In the summer before Yugo's graduation next year, Mizuno and his parents consult with their homeroom teacher, Oshima. After an auspicious tripartite meeting, Yuka, who is left alone in the classroom, is told that there is a problem with Yugo going on to college.
